ScanImage 2018 : Discard Flyback Frames Option

Does the Fast Z 'discard flyback frames' option discard a whole frame or just the fraction of the frame that is scanned during the flyback?

 

Scanimage discards only full frames.

During flyback, the Pockels cell is closed and no data is acquired.

The large-step response of most piezo-based objective positioners is typically 1-4 frames depending on the mass of the objective and the stiffness of the piezo.
